Hi, my name is Grace Houston and I am the founder of Glucose & Grace.

I started Glucose & Grace because I know what it's like to live with Type 1 diabetes and I believe we deserve more than just "managing" it. We deserve to thrive with confidence, grace, and joy.

I was diagnosed at age 3 (and my younger brother at just 16 months), so I've spent about 21 years navigating this chronic illness. Growing up, we didn't have CGMs, insulin pumps, or apps. It was finger pricks, handheld calculators for carb counting, pen-and-paper insulin corrections, and injections. Back then, diabetes was misunderstood and invisible.

Things have changed, technology has made management easier, but the emotional side hasn't always kept pace. The burnout, the constant fear of what food will do to your levels; The fear of lows or highs, the feeling that diabetes takes up too much space in life; I've felt it all, and I've seen it in so many others in our community.

Glucose & Grace is a wellness company created by a Florida Atlantic University graduate with a commitment to support people living with Type 1 diabetes. The business began as a class project and has since gained attention for its approach of science-backed practices that helps users manage the emotional burden of chronic illnesses.

Through digital coaching, community support, and a focus on mind-body balance, we help you:
